Reduce Stress with Essential Oils
Too much stress can wreak havoc on our bodies.
It’s easy to feel the mental effects of stress but often we don’t realize that the physical issues we face when we’re stressed are interrelated. Our body is a system and when something is wrong, it can affect you as a whole.
Reducing stress is an important – yet sometimes difficult – step in moving towards wellness. Reducing stress does not mean you have to stop doing your daily activities and just meditate at home! While using tools like meditation, yoga, exercise, a balanced diet, and aromatherapy have all proven effective at reducing stress, small changes made consistently will begin to yield big results in your mind and body.

Prepare yourself for a stress-free day.
A great day starts with preparing yourself mentally to be resilient and patient. Use your oils to help balance and center yourself emotionally- before you even leave the house! You can diffuse while you’re getting ready, use oils in your morning shower or even wear as perfume…
Put 3-5 drops of a citrus essential oil in your diffuser to wake you up and get you motivated and energized. I love Grapefruit!
In the shower, apply a few drops of Eucalyptus to a loofah in your shower and let the steam wake you up mentally.
Apply 3-5 drops of doTERRA Balance blend to the soles of your feet after a hot shower.
Wake up feeling emotional and frustrated? Before you walk out the door, apply Lavender and Bergamot to your wrists.
Arm yourself with oils. Before you leave, throw some stress-reducing oils into your day bag so that you’ll be prepared for whatever comes your way.

If you don’t have a diffuser at your desk, I recommend getting one! If work or family is stressing you out, diffuse Rosemary, Grapefruit and Lavender. Lavender will you calm you down and Grapefruit will energize you while Rosemary will help you refocus that energy.
