NEW Oils and Products 2021
It’s officially happening: DoTerra’s NEW essential oils and products have been announced for 2021!
Every year thousands of us wait in anticipation of this announcement and this year, the theme was nontoxic home. How perfect is that!
After the announcement each September, we dive into learning about what they do, how they are sourced and how we can effectively use them in our homes. As a DoTerra leader, I get to educate others about the new oils and science behind how they work.
This post is a quick guide to the new oils and how you can begin using them!

Hygge blend
About Hygge blend: “Hygge” is a Danish and Norwegian word that means “a quality of coziness and comfort that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being.” DoTerra’s new Hygge blend is dedicated to feelings of coziness and contentment. It’s sweet and woodsy. Hygge blend contains Vanilla, Wild Orange, Cedarwood, Amyris bark, Frankincense, Myrrh, Cistus, Vetiver and Tonka bean.
How to use: Pour a few drops of the Hygge blend into your essential oil diffuser to fill the air in your home or office with this sweet, comforting aroma. This is a perfect way to set the scene to entertain with a fall dinner or during your Thanksgiving meal.
Abode blend
About Abode blend: This blend is another created for our nontoxic homes. This one in particular is dedicated to cleansing the air and surfaces in your home naturally! Abode contains Lime, Litsea, Cassia, Lemon Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Kochii Eucalyptus, Cilantro, Lemon myrtle, Arborvitae and Lavandin. If you’ve been using oils for a while, you will recognize these as some of the most intense, powerful, strong-smelling, fast-acting essential oils of all time. And now they are combined into one blend!
How to use: Clean your surfaces by adding 10-15 drops to a cup of water and wiping them down. This is fabulous for tables, kitchen countertops, doorknobs and the coffee table. I would also suggest using this to spritz down your fabric and upholstery, or pouring a few drops onto a rag and throwing into your clothes dryer to freshen your clothes.
Madagascar Vanilla
About Vanilla: FINALLY we got vanilla essential oil! I have been hoping and waiting for this one. Madagascar Vanilla oil is sweet, nurturing and beautiful.
How to use: I could go on and on, so here are a few of my favorites.
Pour a few drops of Vanilla oil into your essential oil diffuser and fill the air with this wonderful smell! You can combine it with other oils if you’d like to - I like it with Cinnamon, Cassia, Cardamom, or Lavender. This is such a lovely way to welcome the Fall season.
Add a single drop (or even just use a toothpick to add a TINY bit) to your favorite milkshake, smoothie or coffee drink.
Add a couple drops to your DoTerra unscented body lotion for a full-body vanilla perfume and skin nourishing treat.
Tusi (Holy Basil)
About Tulsi: Tulsi (Holy Basil) is one of the most respected herbs on the planet. Tulsi is known for being supportive for many systems of the body. Not only is it very powerful for immune support - it also helps manage stress, boost energy and can calm the nervous system.
How to use: Add a few drops of Tulsi to your diffuser to fill your home with a calming but uplifting aroma. I suggest combining Tulsi with something woodsy like Cedarwood or Sandalwood.
Inhale directly from the bottle (30+ seconds each nostril) to support your emotional wellbeing.
Add a drop to 1-2 ounces of water and gargle to freshen breath.
Copaiba Touch
About Copaiba: Use Copaiba for muscle discomfort! Copaiba essential oil became popular a couple years ago as a natural, guaranteed non-psychoactive alternative to CBD. It’s extremely mild and can even be used for children, the elderly and those with sensitive skin. Copaiba does not have a strong smell or taste, but its effects are quite noticeable for many.
While Doterra has carried Copaiba for a couple years, it is now available in “touch” form - pre-diluted with coconut oil in a rollerbottle for children and extremely sensitive individuals. This is also helpful for on-the-go oil applications.
How to use: Roll Copaiba onto sore, aching parts of the body. I will be keeping this in my gym bag or taking it with me when I go rollerskating. Aches and pains have no place when we have our natural tools!
Deep Blue stick
About the Deep Blue stick: Speaking of Copaiba oil, this NEW product combines both Copaiba essential oil and DoTerra’s Deep Blue blend together for amazing pain management! I cannot wait for everyone to try this. Deep Blue blend is DoTerra’s nontoxic muscle relief blend and now it is available as a stick. This is a must-have for every household.
How to use: Roll and massage into sore, achy body parts. Avoid sensitive areas of the skin.
Onguard Chewable Tablets
About the OnGuard tablets: Finally, a chewable immune-support tablet. This is going to be my new best friend when I start travelign again! If you want easy tasty immune support, be sure to get these. OnGuard tablets include beta-glucan for healthy natural immune support and Vitamin C, D and Zinc. Formulated with Onguard essential oil blend so they will have a sweet, spicy cinnamon orange flavor. Gluten-free, Vegan and Sugar-free!
How to use: Chew them up! Keep these in your bag especially when you travel.
Abode Home Line
I have been WAITING for this for so long! Finally, an entire home line with beautiful, refillable, aesthetically-pleasing cleaning products.
Included a photo of what the refills AND the accessories will look like because I know many of us will be getting both.
DoTerra will have the Abode blend available in nontoxic Multi-purpose Cleaning Home Spray, Foaming Hand Wash, Hand Lotion, Dish Soap, Dishwasher Pods and Laundry Pods.
You will be able to get refillable glass spray bottles, scrubbers, pumps, microfiber cloths and wool dryer balls (I use these constantly).
Nontoxic cleaning is the future. This is so exciting.
